With a background in Social Anthropology from Universitas Sumatera Utara, Putra Saptian strengthens community-based approaches and socio-cultural analysis across Pantau Gambut's advocacy agenda.
Prior to joining Pantau Gambut in 2025, Putra built a solid track record in human rights, environmental issues, and public research. He gained this experience through his work at KontraS North Sumatra (2018–2021), WALHI North Sumatra (2021–2024), and as a Research Assistant at LP3ES (2024–2025).
