Challenge
  1. Lack of information on follow-ups to revocation of permits. Of the forest and land fire cases the Jambi police chief responded to, most were perpetrated by individuals; regarding the four 2015 cases perpetrated by companies, there is no confirmation their permits have been revoked. Consequently, the Jambi governor’s commitment has not yet been tested.
  2. The general points in the MoU between the Jambi government and the Peat Restoration Agency have not been broken down into a detailed peatland restoration plan.
